Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright and teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father was British, and her mother, an Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching work at play rehearsals. When she was a kid, she was featured in a variety of commercials. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career. She ended up moving to Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007.
